Knitting kit for a Memory Vest in green shades.
The Memory Vest is covered in patterns that come from a child’s vest knit by my grandmother, Judith Harvest, in the first half of the 1970’s.
Having lived through WWII yarn rationing in England, she did not let any yarn go to waste. She made many garments out of odds and ends, and seems to have used whichever colors she happened to have. This knitting kit contains yarn in coordinated green tones. The kit is also available in a pink and a blue version.
The kit contains:

Rauma Finull PT2. All kits, regardless of size, contain 1 skein of white and one skein each of 8 contrast colors.
The XS-S-M kit contains 2 skeins of grey main color, the L-XL-2X kit contains 3 skeins of grey main color, and the 3X kit contains 4 skeins of grey main color.
The kit price only reflects the price of the yarn – the knitting pattern is included free of charge.
Women’s XS (S – M – L – XL – 2X – 3X) with a finished chest measurement of 83 (96 – 102 – 115 – 128 – 134 – 147) cm / 32 3⁄4 (37 3⁄4 – 40 1⁄4 – 45 1⁄2 – 50 1⁄2 – 53 – 58) inches. Vest is intended to be worn with about 10 cm (4 inches) of positive ease.
Gauge in stranded knitting:
25 stitches x 27 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches).
Medium. This pattern assumes basic knowledge of stranded colorwork and uses steek stitches. Other than that, no special knitting techniques are used, and the vest would be a good choice for a first large colorwork project.
The pattern is delivered electronically as a pdf file. After purchase, the confirmation screen has a download link. You will also receive a confirmation email with a download link. Please note that the download link will expire one year from the purchase date.
